okay, so if becky thinks that this blogspot thing is a good idea, then either it's a fantastic idea, or it's terrible. so one week until take off. list of things that are still unresolved and starting to induce panic:
a: i ordered new glasses two weeks ago because i broke my glasses in a fixed gear accident in Flagstaff. new glasses have not yet arrived and i'm leaving wyoming at 7 tomorrow morning.
b: i ordered a new messenger bag almost a month ago from a jackson bike shop. the bag company lost the order. they are supossed to send the bag to flagstaff. i'm not holding my breath
c: a stray cat peed on my backpack at the leroux house in flagstaff. we couldn't get the smell out after 3 weeks of trying. i had to order a new backpack. it's also being shipped to flagstaff. (anyone see a pattern?)
d: i bought apple care for my computer. it won't install. i can't call apple because the buttons on my cell phone don't work
e: the bank still won't issue me a piece of paper saying that i'm a customer at the bank and i have X amount of money in my account. apprently such a piece of paper is against bank policy. i need so mentioned paper to get a residence permit in the netherlands. nothing else will work. therefore, i have no reisdence permit.
f: i need dress shoes (this is possibly the most stressful of all)
so here's leg one of my journey
plan:
leave jackson w/ mom in the morning. drive 15 hours. arrive in flag, sleep, breakfasting at martannes, run thousands of errands, go to prescott, see friends, attend wedding, back to flag, more friends, more martannes, more errands, leave flag, fly to LA, fly to london, hang out in london for a day, fly to amsterdam, train to den haag. hopefully i have a place to live once i get there. dragging your life on your back is only apealing for so long.

First of all, of course this blog is a good idea. See, I'm already looking at it. And now I know that you're not dead yet in this crazy ass storm we have going on.
Second of all, there was indeed another fire experience in my life recently. It occurred when I was cleaning out my laptop with compressed air, and a giant fireball went WHOOSH over said laptop and burned all the hair off my left arm. Fortunately, and mystifyingly, the computer suffered no ill effects. And hair grows back.
So. I've found another way to keep in touch with you, courtesy of SundayS. Weird. I know I've talked to you since this day, but whatever. Since your blog thing doesn't allow anonymous comments I had to create an account of my own, which I'm probally not going to use; too many things to keep track of already, but oh well. Life is good. The house isn't too cold. The toilet isn't broken. Later, Shawna.
